i have a windows 2003 media server getting the following error :

An error occurred while processing a B2D command.

Drive: ReadFMTable() SFMB Not Found (E:\Current Backups\DPS\DP2\DPS2-Full\B2D000039.bkf). Error=13

i do not know how to fix this. i have tried stopping all BE services deleting the bad media in the directory. then running an inventory on the directory. the file still shows in use when it is not, even after you in ventory it ? the inventiry summary shows :

               LABEL             STATUS

0 - BD2000OO7

1 -                                  EMPTY

2 - BD2000239

3 - BD2000421

how do fix this issue so that this corrupted media dissapears and i can use the B2D folder with out locking up the system or bring it to a screaching halt ?

if you open a cmd prompt and type net helpmsg 13 it result in "the data is invalid"

Try deleting the backup to disk folder and renaming the .cfg file and then re-creating the backup to disk folder. You will not lose the .bkf file.

this worked. thanks to all those who helped.
