i get this on GRT backup of my VMs in hyper-v.  any clue where oen begins solviong this issue?  Thanks

Start by running Vssadmin list writers on the machine that youre attempting to backup up... Verify that the writers are all in a stable state.. If any are not you can reboot the machine to stabalize there state... Then retry the backup ... additionally please review the following documentation in relation to the error
