Best way to disable welcome message

I have to use the ZAP utility to remove EVault's hidden message in a number of mailboxes which in turn requires a re-enabling of the user.

What is the best way to disable the welcome message so users don't flip?

Rename or remove it from the x:\Program files\Enterprise vault directory.

Tony's solution sounds good to me.

One thing to realise though if you do this - you will see errors in the event viewer stating 'unable to send welcome message' or something along those lines. Just remember that this is expected since you virtually no longer have the welcome message.

Thanks to all. A shame I have to go through the whole ZAP thing, but this makes life much easier.
