EV 11.0.1 CHF4 FSA migration

Hi

I have already opened a case with Veritas for this, but they're slow to respond (4days and still waiting) so I write in the forums too.

I used these articles as a reference for migrating placeholders from w2008 to the new w2012r2 file server:

How to move Placeholders from one File Server to a new File Server:
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000037642

Migrating Placeholders:
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000102511

It's a 400GB file server, with around 2mln files and placeholders, so for speeding things up I cloned the old disk to a new one, and attached it to the new vm. After that, in the maintenance window, I used robocopy and fsautility -pm to transfer everything.

Apart from one archive point which has not transfered 100% (I can't see most documents in archive explorer), everything else seemed to have transferred, but then I noticed that the new server archiving didn't work. This is the error in eventlog:

Event ID: 41470
Source: Enterprise Vault
Task Category: File System Archiving Task

An error occurred while archiving to the following archive from the following path:
ArchiveID              Volume Path
12774DE12DFFAB244825F0B1AF22BB4F01110000stcvault   \\stcdms4.domain.local\D$\documenti
This archive is associated with the following volume:
VolumeID              Volume Path
144A8A00EC286C14794910AD67BC446DC1011000stcvault \\stcdms3.domain.local\D$

There are other archive points, but only this appears in the log, followed by:

Event ID: 40987
Source: Enterprise Vault
Task Category: File System Archiving Task

Completed processing task: File System Archiving Task STCDMS4 with 0 (0,00 MB) items matched.

Using ADSSpy, I checked the data streams for archive points, and they are the same for both servers. Probably this is caused by the clone operation, and I think this causes the error 41470.

\\stcdms3\D$\documenti\EVArchivePoint.xml:

<archivePoint xmlns="urn:kvsplc-com:FileSystemFolderArchivePoint">

    <indexDisabled>False</indexDisabled>
    <rootFolderCreatedDate>128261459589335846</rootFolderCreatedDate>
</archivePoint>

\\stcdms4\D$\documenti\EVArchivePoint.xml:

<archivePoint xmlns="urn:kvsplc-com:FileSystemFolderArchivePoint">
    <archiveVEID>12774DE12DFFAB244825F0B1AF22BB4F01110000stcvault</archiveVEID>

    <indexDisabled>False</indexDisabled>
    <rootFolderCreatedDate>128261459589335846</rootFolderCreatedDate>
</archivePoint>

At this point, I will push for Veritas support answer, anyway, has anyone a suggesion on how to make archiving working on the new server?

Thanks

Stefano
