EV 2007 SP2 / OWA SP1 - buttons appear only when user logs in as domain\user

I'm having a issue with a fresh install of EV 2007 SP2 on a clean install of Exchange 2007 SP1 OWA.  The OWA extensions work fine, as long as the user logs in with the domain name prepended to the user id when logging on to OWA.  For example, they'll get the extensions when logging in as DOMAIN\UserName, but not when logging in as UserName.  I was hoping to be able to use the setting in OWA Forms-based Authentication to default the logon domain so that a domain name would not have to be entered by the user.

Any ideas on a workaround or fix for this?

Thanks

I can't offer you any ideas, but I can say that in Exchange 2003 OWA, if you do not log in with domain\username format, the spell check can cause OWA to log off without saving the message you are working on.  This may be something under the covers that OWA needs to authenticate properly.

Hi

Haven't encoutered this issue yet.
I'd suggest that you open a case with Symantec.

Would be glad if you could post the solution here if you get one.

Cheers
