EV10 FSA Any files or folders that have "ABCD" in the name need to be excluded
Is that possible? If yes what should we define in the Policy?
Many Thanks

Looking at the way you can define the rules, you have the ability to set an exclusion rule and then chose the option, 'file is one of' and then select the radio button for 'Other'. In the suggested example we see that you can use wildcards as in *.doc, etc....
Depending on where your ABCD is in the file name you may try things like ABCD*.* or possibly *ABCD*.*
It may work but I cannot confirm it.
Would be helpful if you try and let us know the results
Good luck EV007

Let me try to find out, but I think you are streching your luck a bit too far

:-D, one of our customer saying "You can with set wildcards with EMC DiskExtender, why not with EV FSA"?

I have seen this in the Dtrace when using a rule to not archive *ABCD*.*
File: \\?\UNC\EV9SQL.TEST.LAB\Files\fileABCD_45.txt matched rule: Wildcard, rule type: DONOTARCHIVE
The archiving report shows:
\\EV9SQL.TEST.LAB\Files\fileABCD_45.txt 5771 Default FSA Volume Policy Wildcard DONOTARCHIVE
