If a server alias is changed in V8, will the Vault Caches needed to be rebuilt?

Hi folks, just a short question concerning changing DNS-Alias name for Symantec Enterprise Vault - if you change the Alias in the 'ComputerName' field of the Directory-Database: Will this lead to a rebuild of existing V8 Vault Caches? I) assume yes, but I may be wrong. Cheers, Nico

No, as the URL is saved in the hidden message, not the Vault Cache data.

if you have links to the messages and attachments though, you will need to rebuild the shortcut via the registry
