Moving Folders in Outlook.

Hi All,

We have a user that moved folders in Outlook and I need to know why these changes aren't being replicated in EV.  Is this by design or is this configurable?

Renaming of folders seems OK but changes to the folder structure isn't.

Outlook 2003 SP2, EV 7 SP1.

Thanks in Advanced,
Cheers,
Phil

As far as I know this is by demand, probably to keep the valut looking like it did when it originally captured the message. You've got my wholehearted support in wishing the ability to dynamically re-sync the folder structure existed. We're on EV2007 and it doesn't do this either.

Thanks for the reply Brian,

The new folder path is in the EVDirectory Database so it's a little puzzeling why the change isn't presented this way in Archive Explorer. Then again maybe this FolderPath in the DB is the folder path of the folder in Outlook. Hoping a Symantec tech could shed some light on this.

Cheer's

I know they are looking into changing this functionality in a future version of EV so moving shortcuts will be reflected in Ae structure too- not sure which version though, maybe ev2008 but don't quote me on this.
