PST migration stopped because the Vault Store is currently in backup mode

Hi,

- Enterprise Vault v8 SP3
- Exchange 2003

Recently we changed backup strategy by using backup mode powershell command.
- Mailbox archive run: 6PM - 4AM
- Put EV in backup mode: 4.25AM
- Backup: 4.30AM
- Exit Backup mode: 8.30 AM

We use Wizard driven PST migration.
Some big PST imports are not finished at 4AM and seem to stop at 4AM.

Eventlog:

* Event ID: 7075
PST migration stopped because the Vault Store is currently in backup mode

* Event ID: 6742
PST Migration Report 
Migration status: Incomplete
Processing was stopped while the PST Migrator was working on this PST. Run the PST Migrator again to migrate the remaining items in this PST.

Any suggestins to bypass this behaviour?

I think this is normal.  I ran into the same issues and had to readjust my PST Import times to times where backups are not being performed.

One thing to remember is that EVS creates lost of files (read Millions).  If your backup environment has special modes to handle numerous small files it's best to put it in that mode to speed things up.

 Yes that is the correct behaviour.. maybe there is an opportunity to have a longer "window" at the weekend?
