Shortuct Deletes after item archived - for 1 user only

Hi all,


I have one user out of 6000 that when items are vaulted the shortcut is also deleted.  this is not what the policy states.  Also if EV archives during it's quota policy then the shortcut also deletes. 

 

as mentioned all other users are fine.  I have added the client log to see if that gives any pointers.

if it's just one user have you tried zapping the mailbox and reenabling it?

Yeah, check in OWA as well, it could be a caching issue
Check with OWA to see if the item exists there, try disabling cache and see if that helps
Also run ScanOST.exe and see if the OST is OK as well

Depending on whether your user is running the DCOM or http client, and subject to your polices, the user may be able choose personal archiving settings.

You can check these settings by right-clicking on the mailbox root in Outlook, selecting Properties, choosing the Enterprise Vault tab and clicking the Change button.

Subject to policy settings, this page will allow you to select specific archiving settings for the user.  These settings can also be set on a per-folder basis, so it may be worth checking these settings for the user's Inbox also.
