move a user archive when a vault store partition is closed

I'm at the point of closing a vault store partition on our EV 2007 SP2 system.

We have several stores defined.

It sometimes happens that we move a user archive from one store to another store.

In our test environment, if from one store I close the vault store partition and open a new one, I can't export the users archive anymore to a pst file to import it then in a new archive defined in another vault store.

Is there a workaround to still accomplish this or am I doing something wrong?

This should definitely work.

Closing a partition only causes the partition to be "read only".

What error messages are you getting?

Michel,

The export of the items goes very fast.

At the end of the export it states : status : partially processed.

In the eventviewer for each item an event is created: Error restoring Saveset during export operation.

When I open the pst file after the export it is empty. No items are exported.

In the report file of the export also all items failed.

Are you able to open up those items in Browser Search/Outlook?

Is your Closed Partition somehow offline?

Could you post the full Event from Eventviewer?

I have found the problem.

I had no free disk space anymore on my sql server.
