On January 31st, members of #TeamVtas in the Bay Area joined together to celebrate the company's Employee Resource Group program in an ERG Fair. Over 120 employees participated to learn details of Veritas’ ERGs, including the mission of each and group goals for the future.
The event included a photo booth for employees, as well as ERG Bingo with a grand prize of a $50 GlobalGiving gift card.
Speaking of the event, Veritas CEO, Greg Hughes, expressed, “Veritas has a strong diversity and inclusion culture and it was very inspiring to get to know our ERG champions and learn how they support their co-workers – and Veritas more broadly in our journey to become leaders in Corporate Responsibility."
Rick Avila, Senior Director Internal Communications and Corporate Responsiblity, shared of the event, “All seven ERGs were represented at the fair. It was a great turnout. Employees want to get involved and do good, whether to support veterans, the LGBT community, women, or help reduce the company’s environmental footprint. I am constantly amazed by the commitment and impact of our ERGs globally."
The possibilities are endless
Veritas believes a diverse and inclusive culture is defined through action. All employees are invited to join their local Employee Resource Group chapters, or even create their own ERG with the support of Veritas' Corporate Responsibility team.
It is efforts like January's ERG Fair that inspire pride among members of #TeamVtas and encourage the inviting, thoughtful culture that is a part of what makes #LifeAtVeritas so compelling.
