6.5 Backups failing to complete

We are trying to backup a Windows 2003 R2 machine running WDS (RIS).  The master/media server is running RHEL 3.0...We have tried excluding directories...using multiplexing...the total size of the backup is about 50 G....it has run for 13hrs...all runs on Gig network...Hardware is plenty robust...every other server on this separate backup network runs fine.  This all started happening once we moved to 6.5 (client and server) 

Anyone else have problems backing up a WDS box?  We have a case open w Symantec, but seem to be going no where...

Thanks for the reply...support came back with the same find...not sure that we want to patch this system just yet, as we have another outstading issue with NB...for now, we've reverted back to the 5.1mp6 client...backups complete...just get the usual open file error...

For the client, since it is a Windows server, just used add/remove programs...
