I am new to Netbackup altogether, so please bare with me.
Having just installed Netbackup 6.5 on a W2k3 server as the master server, I also installed the authentication (AT) and authorization (AZ) code onto the same server.
My question is - what is the AT and AZ service needed for?
The reason I ask is that to test the installation I installed a NB client on another windows machine (with the AT/AZ client code), and on a Linux box the NB client and just the PBX code (more in accident than on purpose as I would have installed AT and AZ too if I had been on the ball!
).
I have been able to successfully backup and restore to/from both the windows client and linux client - where does the AT and AZ service fit in?
