BPKAR32

Hi,

I have a couple of  clients, windows server 2008 who seems to never finish their backups, when looking into the problem I can see that cpu is 100% and if I kill bpkar32,exe cpu is normal.

BUT the problem is that I have version 7.1.0.1 installed, which should fix this problem.

Have anybody else seen this?

/Joe

I guess you're using ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES for your backup selection, what if you change it to just backup a small folder or file?

Check also in your application event log to see if there is any bpbkar or Netbackup-related process faulting issue.

Check also the network card, and try with disabling the TCP offload chimney (http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH60844).

If these do not help, best to open a support call with Symantec.

Hi,

For a cuple of days now these clients have been running ok, haven´t changed anything yet.

Yes I`m using ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES, I also saw that this could be a problem.

I will check the tcp offfload settings, just checked on the master server and these settings are on.
