Backup on "begin writing" but nothing happens...

Hello.

Master server : Netbackup 6.5 on Solaris

Media server : Windows 2003

Client : Windows 2003

The media server have many clients and no problem with them.

But with one the backup starts, mount the tape, "begin writing" and then... nothing. You can wait for hours but no data written.

Drives are OK (no down state).

Any idea ?

Hi,

Enable Logs on the client with verbose  5  and  check  BPCD  Logs,  it may give you a clue.

Could be related to the NIC ... check for driver updates or possibly replacing NIC.

 Create a new policy and re try the backup with new policy !
