Can NBU execute unix script thought NBU scheduler?

Thank you for your reply, May I know NBU can execute unix script thought NBU scheduler? Like TSM? We have unix script in Unix server which is execute the script weekly thought TSM for purge the data before archive.

However, there is a bp.start_notify script that will run when a policy runs.  The bp.start script is executed, when the policy starts.  This can be used for tasks you want completing before the backup runs.

2 ways. bpstart_notify scripts as already mentioned will run when the job goes active and runs before any files are backed up. There is also bpend_notify which will run a script AFTER the backup has completed.

Also you could wrap your scripts into it's own script including a manual start of your backup and schedule this script via cron.
