Can NetBackup Active Directory Agent restore a whole tree?

Dear all,

I have run into a situation where, in a coming project, active directory tree will be consolidated from 5 to 1.  The customer would like to know if the NetBackup AD agent can restore a whole tree after the tree is removed from the AD forest, in case something happened and need to revert back changes.

From my checking, this can be done, but I am not able to find any document or reference to tell how to do this.

Is there any document mentioning about restoring a tree in a AD forest?

Thanks a lot,

Rayson Wong

hi rayson.. as far as you have complete backup of AD (GRT preferrably) you may restore the tree as it was backed up.

for restoring complete AD you have to reboot system in directory restore  mode and start the procedure of BAR to restore AD. also refer admin guide for active directory which will help you alot.
