Cannot allocate memory errors

We are running NBU 6.0 MP6 and are attempting to use EMC EDL (formerly CDL) for backups.   Normal, backups work fine, but we are trying to use the embedded media server on the EDL for Vaulting/Duplication.  We have two EDL's one of them at our main site and one at our DR site.   Each of the EDL's has the robotic control handled by a media in their corresponding location.  We have zoned through our SAN multiple drives from our remote EDL to the EDL at our main location.   We are also using the embedded media server that the EDL can run, which is SUSE Linux.   The problem we are having is when we duplicate more than one image, we are seeeing "error reading drive x, cannot allocate memory" in the job log. The destination drive (remote) will get a media read error (status 85) in the bptm log.  This will only happen on one image of the many that we attempt to test with.  For now all of the jobs that we are duplicating are less than 10 Gb, and there is a 4Gb pipe between sites.

Has anyone ever used the embedded media server on EDL?   Has anyone every zoned tape drives over an extended SAN?  The goal of what we are trying to do use this media server to duplicate all images of production servers to our DR site for recovery.

Thanks,

Dan
