GRT Exchange Restore does not restore everything

I am consultant at a customer site performing a proof of concept for

- NBU 7.0.1

- MS Exchange 2007 R2

- GRT backup to disk

- Backup of Microsoft Information Store

- Restore of Microsoft Information Store\vr01\vr01 is successful

- Restore of single mails out of Microsoft Information Store:\vr01\vr01\vr116t04: Vprod Testuser04 [vr116t04]\Top of Information Store\Posteingang\hv11618 (Posteingang=Inbox, hv11618=a folder) is successful (requested operation is successfully completed), but after a check in Exchange the mails are missing except of one.

What we did:

1. Before the restore we deleted all (12) mails of Microsoft Information Store:\vr01\vr01\vr116t04: Vprod Testuser04 [vr116t04]\Top of Information Store\Posteingang\hv11618.

2. Started a restore of Microsoft Information Store:\vr01\vr01\vr116t04: Vprod Testuser04 [vr116t04]\Top of Information Store\Posteingang\hv11618. Job ended without errors, but we could only see one restored mail.

What I have noticed:

The backed up mails looked like the following within the BAR GUI - Contents of ´Microsoft Information Store:\vr01\vr01\vr116t04: Vprod Testuser04 [vr116t04]\Top of Information Store\Posteingang\hv11618´

Name = Aktualisieren der Anwendung OLAP-Datenbanken erfolgreich.

Time Backed up = 26.09.2011 15:07:33

Size = 1066

Time Modified = 07.09.2011 11:47:49

All in one line (certainly).

This line is repeated twelve times, for twelve mails receiced at different days, but all with the same subject and so on (see lines above).

If we delete all twelve mails and restore all twelve mails, we just get one back (visible with Exchange). The restore job says: restored 15 files successfully.

Is it possible that NBU overwrites these mails, because it seems to be the same mail (12 times)?

Or does we have another problem?

Regards,

Angelika
