1. Edit /etc/nsswitch.conf
add 'dns' to the end of the 'hosts' line:
hosts:      files       dns

2. Create /etc/resolv.conf. Add at least these 2 lines:
domain  <company.com>
nameserver <IP address>

3. Add mailhost alias in /etc/hosts
<IP>  <Exchange_server> mailhost

ENJOY!! (A lot easier than BLAT)

Instead of replying on this, can you provide the solution.

By the way, NBU dont come with SMTP engine. We have to configure some SMTP relay / engine on host for achieving the same.

This is really out of NBU scope.

A lot of guys made millions of dollars by selling books "how to configure sendmail/postfix/whatever_mta_you_want".

There was really good advise in this thread - consult your OS or MTA manual how to configure it.

You have got to read the admin guides for Solaris.  Mouse is absolutely correct here.  This is out of the NBU scope.  This is a Solaris question.  I understand wanting a quick answer but sometimes we have to read.  It's too detailed to provide you with instructions here.  See the link below on how to configure sendmail for Solaris 9.
