Try the steps in this TN: http://www.veritas.com/docs/000087761

The TN is for DataDomain - just adapt with appropriate StoreOnce equivalent.

We have also seen at DD customers that when a similar 'Disk Storage Server Down' error was seen, the appliance had to be rebooted or processes stopped and restarted. Only then did the DD respond to NBU requests...

What Applaince, the media server or the disk storage server must I restart, did restart the media server a few times

You have an HP StoreOnce dedupe appliance, right?

That is what I am talking about.

The StoreOnce seems to be 'playing up'. That is where you need to troubleshoot.

Or else plugin and/or credential issue as described in the DD TN.

Thank you Marianne

The reboot of the storeonce did work it is backing up again.

Hopefully you have logged a call with HP to find out why the StoreOnce stopped responding....
