How to inventory for a standalone tape drive

I have netbackup and standalone tape drive ,how to inventory ,and catalog the tape for restore from other backup

I think you need to look at performing an "import".  It's a two "phase" process.  It can take several hours.  I assume you have a copy of the manuals.  Lookup "import" in the manuals.

NetBackup can only import other NetBackup and Backup Exec media.  NBU cannot import/read TSM, Legato, Data Protector, NTBackup, etc... media.

The tape can be inventoried in a standalone drive with the command: vmphyinv
