Now that we see that many healthcare customers are using InterSystems Caché databases, does netbackup have plans to develop backup management capabilities specifically for InterSystems Caché?

I don't think any of us can answer. Most of us are end users with no insight of the priorities at Veritas.

I recommend you reach out to your local Veritas pre sales representative and discuss the topic.

Hey

I believe this SW should have some backup/restores native tools - why not to use these and direct the stream to let's say universal share??

What all NBU agents for DB are doing is: use its native tools (given DB, ie RMAN for Oracle), send that data to NBU via TCP. That's all, right?
