[NetBackup 7] None of the Requested files were backed up

I am trying to backup the SQL databases on the client server using the SQL plugin. The server is on our internal DMZ, seperated by a firewall. I have setup all the necessary firewall rules opening port 13724.

I am using the following script as generated by the SQL plugin:OPERATION BACKUP

I have set the NetBackup Client Server to run as a local administrator account, and used the same credentials when generating the SQL script.
I gave the local account all permissions within SQL.
I have disabled EnableTCPChimney.
I have verified the path of the .BCH file.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Create dbclient log dir on client (<install-dir>\veritas\netbackup\logs) and rerun the backup.

Please post resulting log file in dbclient folder.

The most common problem is in this kind of environment that the client is unable to connect to bprd (via vnetd) on the master.

According to this it's unable to check if I have the required licenses. Under licensed features, I see MS SQL Server Extension; I'm assuming this is ok?

The license error is a red herring...

The client is unable to connect to bprd (via vnetd on port 13724) on the master to 'get features':

Verify that port 13724 is open in both directions between master and client as well as media server and client.

Please ensure bprd log is enabled on the Master (NBU must be restarted after folder is created).

Check bprd log for incoming request from client. See if master is able to resolve this IP to client name that matches hostname used in policy.

Yes, as far as the firewall is concerned I don't see any drops.

Well... the second I said the word firewall i knew what the issue was.

Our master server was our first 2008 server and was not affected by our disable windows firewall rule policy

Turned off windows firewall and it worked like a charm.
