Netbackup 5.1 Mediaserver (Windows 2003 - 32 Bit OS) and Netbackup Client (Windows 2003 - 64 Bit OS)

Dear All,

Can you please advice on the following question:

We need to backup a 64 Bit Windows 2003 Server. However, our backup environment is one Master and 3 Media server running all 32 Bit Windows 2003 and Netbackup 5.1 MP5.

Is it possible to backup the 64 Bit OS to a 32 Bit Backup environment; is it adviceable to upgrade the infrastructure to Netbackup 6.0 before?

There's a 64 bit client installation download that's different than the normal client installation.  Your master and media are fine at the 32 bit level.  Just load the 64 bit client on that one machine.
