Hi,
I have taken a successful backup of a test client(windows 2003).
But in the Bare Metal restore Clients tab, when I select the test client for "prepare to restore",I get the following error....
The requested operation could not be completed. The server returned code 1.
[Error] V-126-8 Cannot find TrueImage date. Please make sure a full backup of this client is available.
[Error] V-126-3 'bmrprep' could not complete the requested operation.
Could anyone tell me what could be the issue...
Thanx

Hi:
Please check the time of your Master server and Client. Are they in a same time zone?
Thanks

Also, make sure that the policy that used for the backup was the correct type for the client. I have seen that cause issues.

Hi yanhb,
The Client was not in the same time zone as that of the master server.I changed the time zone of the client server and again fired the "prepare to restore" from client config option.
But still getting the same issue....Do i again need to take the client backup again before I prep to restore??
I have checked the policy for client backup...no issues there...
Thanx

Is there a non-expired full backup available?
Try using the BAR GUI/bplist command to see if it has system shadow copy information in it.

Check if the BMR job is finishing with status 0. If not, perhaps it is missing the backup of a critical driver.
Also, try having at least one full backup with the "Collect BMR data" option activated. i.e., for a Windows 2003 server, you should use "Shadow Copy Components:\" and "ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES".

Hi Spaniard,
A long shot...
The policy that you are using for backing up the windows client, what policy type does it use?
Is it "Standard" or is it "Windows ...."?
If it is "Standard", that could be one reason why you are facing this issue.
Otherwise I'd suggest that you open a case with Symantec support.
