Problem Install NBU6.0MP4 on Windows 2003Std Oracle92

Hi,

I'm having some problems while installing NBU6.0MP4 on a Windows 2003 Standard server with ORACLE92.
I already have NBU5.1MP2 on this server and the NBU service is starting with a domain account who's sysadmin.

When i try to install the NBU6.0MP4 without uninstalling NBU5.1MP2, i can't start the service with the domain sysadmin account. I must use the localsystem account or put the domain sysadmin account in local administrators group.

I'm using this procedure for install of NBU6.0MP4 client on the server :

-----------------------------------------------------
1 Installation of NBU client one ORACLE server

Stop Oracle services
Install NBU customer
To start again the Oracle service

2 Creation of a user
2.1 Domain User
create a domain user
add it in the group “Backup Operators”
Tadd the group “Backup Operators” in the group ORA_DBA, present on the Oracle server (so that the users of the group Backup Operator can have the Sysdba rights)

2.2 Security Policy on the Oracle server
It is necessary to modify the security policy to allow the following rights for the group “Backup Operators”:

1. Act as part of the Operating system

2. Log on Locally

3. Log on as a batch job

4. Log on as a service

5. Restore files and directories

6. Backup files and directories

Type "gpudate" in order to reload security policy
-----------------------------------------------------

Sorry for the translation.

Could you help me ? Thank you.

Karim

The problem has been solved by using the custom installation in order to keep policy configuration for the domain account.
