Hi,

This error "Server Status:  Communication with the server has not been initiated or the server status has not been retrieved from the serve" is usually an indication of a comms problem.

Please check the following

1. You can resolve the master server, media server and client from the client using nslookup (on hostname and IP address)
2. You can resolve the master server, media server and client from the master server using nslookup (on hostname and IP address)
3. You can resolve the master server, media server and client from the media server using nslookup (on hostname and IP address)
4. Use bpcltncmd command to perform the same checks as shown in steps 1-3
5. run bpclntcmd -pn on the client and make sure that the master replies with the client name
6. Use bptestbpcd or telnet to verify that the master and media can connect to the client (verify the same from the client to the master/media)

if everything else checks out, flush the cache from both ends:

./bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache
