I know this isn't supported but there must be a way to do it....
When our domain was first put into action, the powers that be, in their wisdom, decided to use a DC as the Netbackup Master server. This is inconvenient for any number of reasons. They have now decided that they want (after months of nagging from people like me) to assign a dedicated backup server. Unfortunately this means that we have to move our current installation to a new (differently named) server.
Symantec don't support this.
There is no information (that I can find) on the web regarding WIndows servers (I've found stuff about UNIX etc but that's not a lot of help for me).
I know it's complicated. I know it's not supported. I don't believe someone out there hasn't at least tried it. Hopefully someone in here can show me how or at least point me in the right direction.
