Storage unit selection not working (Round Robin)

Hello community,

we have selected two AdvancedDiskPools to be used in one of our storage unit groups. We noticed that they are not equally split in terms of usage, although we selected "Round Robin" in the settings.

As you can see, they are not used in an alternating order.

The ADPs are running on an Windows Media Server (2008 R2), Master server is using Solaris.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

more information is needed, please count the number of images on each since round robin is NOT balancing, if you send a large job, then a small job then a large job, the first would have a ton more space used.

This could be a result of one really large backup. Without image information it is difficult to determine why the imbalance occurred.

LOL - this could be the result of cleaning issues, or retention as well. Do all disk backups have the same retention?

You should check the activity monitor to see if it is really round robin as well.

another thought - how long are your storage unit names? I know NB sorts them alphabetically, but I wonder if they are too long, if it does not see the differences.
