HI All,
We have tape library IBM TS3310 attached to nb5220 Master server. We have issue with tape library and IBM engineer will replace the faluty Robotic Arm. Do I have to do anything at the netbackup end after the robotic arm replace. Do I have to delete the drives and add them again ?. Please advise.
Master Server : nb5220 , 7.6.0.1 V

The drives should be ok - to be honest it's best to look after it has been replaced to see how things look.
One thing though, the library is set to display a certain number of characters in the barcode. If you look in the media section of the netbackup GUI, you can count how many it is currently set to, probaby 6 or 8.
Make sure that after the robot s replced, the number of character the library is displaying is set the same - thisis a setting on the library, not NetBackup. If it changes, you will get failures.
If the serial number changes, you will need to update NBU, this can be done be either deleting and re-adding the library, or, by using the tpautoconf -replace_robot command
tpautoconf -replace_robot <robot_number> -path <robot_path>
