Dear all:
I have seven media server and one master server in my environment.I want to backup both the oracle data and archive to the netapp storage system.
I use two channel for the backup and set the parameters in the scripts.
There are some error occured on two media server when I try to backup the oracle data.(Other five media server were worked normally.)
The error information is below.
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on CH01 channel at 12/10/2011 14:01:13

ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:

I have check the oracle link and bp.conf but there no configuration error in them.
Can anyone give me some suggestion?

1.) Check the values in the NET_BUFFER_SIZE file value on the client and on the server side are same ?

As per the Error ORA-19511, If you see the below link it seems that the problem is with media management software.

Are you able to backed up other data/Flat files backup on these two media Server, means Network connectivity is fine, and DNS too.

'Server Status: failed to communicate with resource requester'
Are normal (filesystem) backups working with these two media servers?
This error message looks like a NetBackup Status 811.
