Status 6 is a generic error for database backup failure. The problem is normally on the database side.
Extract from Troubleshooting Guide:
Check the progress report (log) on the client for a message such as Script exited with status code = number (the number varies). The progress log usually names the script.
Check the script for problems. Also, check the troubleshooting logs created by the database extension.

Most database extentions will log to
dbclient log directory, but not all of them.
