Current setup: Sunfire 280R with NB Enterprise server 5.1, Solaris 8, Adic Scalar 24 jukebox attached. Performed Solaris live upgrade to Solaris 10 and rebooted server. Get following messages in /var/adm/messages file :
"Sep 18 12:33:41 cpisun7 scsi: WARNING: /pci@8,700000/pci@1/scsi@4 (qus0):
Sep 18 12:33:41 cpisun7 can't send SCSI packet with zero CDB length: rejecting
Sep 18 12:33:41 cpisun7 avrd: user scsi ioctl() failed, may be timeout, errno = 2, No such file or directory
Sep 18 12:33:41 cpisun7 avrd: log sense failed on IBMULTRIUM-TD21 (device 1, /dev/rmt/1cbn): No such file or directory (2)"

When I boot the server back to Solaris 8, everythings works fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

/dev/rmt is there but it appears to be mapped differently with Sol 10 which makes sense. Try removeing the robot and drives and re-adding them through the GUI. If that does not work you may have to rm * /dev/rmt and rebuild everything with sg.build sg.install. Have that procedure if you need it.
