regular expressions in "bprestore -f"?

Is the use of regular expressions (even simple ones) allowed in the -f file for bprestore?  I can't find anywhere it says it is, but I can't find anywhere that says it isn't either.

I just submitted a bprestore with 4000 files names in the "-f" file, wishing I could have done "/dir1/dir2/dir3/file111*".  That would have been so much simpler.

Plus it took about 30 minutes for the bprestore command to be processed before the restore even started (because the file list was so large).

Have you TRIED using wildcards?

I have done this and it worked fine for me. My attempt is documented in this post:
