time out from excluded directory

I have a Linux client with a large www/cache directory that is being excluded from backups with an exclude list. The problem is that the job keeps timing out because even though the directory is excluded netbackup still likes to go thorugh it and it ends up timing out the job.

Is there a way to get around this without creating a seperate job for this client with its own long list of directories to backup?

Thanks.

I have increased my timeout to 15 min. I just think its lame that it has to crawl that directory even if its excluded.

In case anyone cares....my fix is.

I got rid of my include_list

Apparently if there is no include list the exclude list has nothing to compare against so it doesnt need to search through directories that are excluded. This means for me that my exclude list is over 30 entries long and needs to remain updated since it has to be more granular than having an include list.

I tried it and the backup finished very quickly getting everything i need and nothing i dont.
