Hi,

I'm getting the following messages "inetd: bpcd from 155.95.123.200" constantly in /var/adm/messages on a media server, does any body know how to stop them and why this is happening.

Thanks!
Maria

If I remember right, master server periodically connects to media server for storage-unit availability check.
Sorry, I have no idea for this problem. Anyone have good idea?

Well, this is the client daemon...hmm...I don't recall bpcd being used for inter-server communication.

What does the IP addr resolve to, the Master?

bpcd is called as "client daemon". But, it is used in various situation.
Process diagram is shown in Troubleshooting Guide. bpcd also works on master and media servers. In media server, bpcd execute bptm to check storage-unit once per 10min, although NetBackup is idle.
