what's the future for client tracker?

the last post was to disable the tracker in order to speed up the backup process. from what i understood on the purpose of the tracker, it is very usable in providing information during backup or restore.

instead of disabling it, does Veritas have any plans in enhancing or optimizing this tracker in the future?

During a backup, the Activity Monitor shows me the current file during a backup, and the estimated percentage done.

During a restore, the BAR GUI (actually nbwin.exe) option of "show progess" (actually progress.exe) shows me the current file being restored.

I can't think that the tracker gives me any more functionality.

I honestly don't see any purpose for client job tracker other than slowing backups down.

I was hoping that Symantec/Veritas would've removed it by now.

I had an end user once, who wouldn't stop running the tracker, so I deleted the executable in the end.
