Largest DB ?

Just curious what the largest VBR database is out there and how stable it is. Any performance problems ?

To start off the bidding....

* 24.6 GB

* pretty stable after the last round of server.conf tweaks

* Still run out of heap space every so often (even though the web service is cycled nightly). Other than that, it does okay usually. 

Anyone else have something in that size area or larger ?

A foreign telecom has a 33GB+ database.  They are a service provider and use it to charge back their customers.

A US healthcare provider has a database around your size or larger, 25+ GB.  They are running on a old Solaris server that is at least 3 years old with adequate performance.  They will be upgrading the server this year.  They have 60 or 70 master servers worldwide with clients in the thousands.

A US telecom has a 16 GB database with just 6 months of data.  They have 7K clients and 3 to 4 dozen master servers.  They will be doubling the client count to 14K after adding Networker and TSM collection.

There are many more large customers I haven't worked with directly such as a database software vendor, financial firms, entertainment companies ...

Are you staying dry up there in the Pacific northwest?

Good to hear there are larger ones out there. 

And aside from the state getting cutoff from the rest of the US, doing well. It's really hard to get flooded out when you live at the top of a large hill. =)
