Today, Symantec announced better backup for our partners and their customers, with the release of Backup Exec 2012 and NetBackup 7.5 leading the charge. Backup should not be a daunting task for any organization. With this launch, we are providing options that will enable our partners to tailor backup solutions to each unique customer – from enterprises to SMBs. Symantec has also made backup more effective for partners to help their customers protect critical business information without breaking the budget or feeling the pains from the difficulty and intricacy that is often associated with backup.
Backup is going through rapid changes. Symantec sees these changes as the catalyst needed to simplify, automate and modernize backup. Symantec recently surveyed more than 1,400 IT professionals worldwide on their backup practices and their confidence levels in their ability to recover information in the event of a disaster.
These numbers speak for themselves and show that businesses will benefit from turning to solutions providers for backup guidance. Symantec has fantastic partners who are Specialized in Data Protection across our key solutions – NetBackup, Backup Exec as well as Small and Midsize Business – and are fully equipped to meet their customers’ backup and recovery needs.
The following is a testimonial from one of our partners who has equipped their customers with faster, more effective backup:
“For our SMB customers, providing the right backup solutions is the key to the continuity of their business. Most SMBs can’t afford to go even a day without their data, so we will be implementing Backup Exec 2012 Small Business Edition for our customers to effectively backup their valuable data. After participating in the beta, we have found that it takes only three steps in less than 10 minutes to install, which is an added plus for our customers.”
