VRE design question- can I protect 2 sites

I am looking for a way to avoid having to rotate tapes off our 2 sites by replicating data between 2 small sites.

Site 1- Has about 50GB data
Site 2- Has about 150GB of data
I have small iSCSI SANs at both sites
I am thinking of purchasing 2 copies of VRE.

I already own BENT at both sites and am hoping I can change my tape backups to D2D backups and then replicate the data across our WAN links. I know bandwidth will be an issue but I have mgmt. support to increase bandwidth, if I can get to work.

Any input or suggestions? I appreciate any feedback.

I have BENT and CPS installed at site1 on serverA.

I did install of RE on serverC at site 2 and pushed RE agent back to serverA. However, now several of the CPS services won't start.

Anyone have CPS working with Replication Exec Agent on server?

CPS and Replicatin Exec can not coexist on the same machines, as it paially uses same technologies.

But as you already have CPS, why not use that to replicate the data to your central server.

We wanted to just use CPS, but "SQL replication is only available with VRE" (HATE when companies do this). Yes, same technology. Just another way to make some extra bucks. If anyone is replicating SQL with CPS, PLEASE post!
