BESRO 8.5 Error message

Hi All,

 

anyone know how and why i get this kind of error message ?

 

First

Date: 14/12/2008 18:04:08 PM

Notification Type: Notice

Priority: Medium

Description: Info 6C8F0428: Backup Exec System Recovery service stopped.

 

Secondly,

Date: 14/12/2008 18:07:44 PM

Notification Type: Warning

Priority: Medium

Description: Error EC8F042E: Cannot register SYDDEV01 with service principal name of VProRecovery Backup Exec System Recovery Agent 8.5.

Details: Insufficient access rights to perform the operation.

 

 

i keep getting those email everyday from the Server.

 

it's Windows Server 2003 Std x86 installed with BESRO 8.5 to backup self to a USB external HDD.

The first one is just a notice. It is saying that the service has been stopped for one reason or another, rebooting the server will stop the services, as will several other things.

 

As for the second one, this article explains it better than I could.

Basically what the article says is that the Backup Exec System Recovery Agent is not registering its name as a service on the system properly. If your backups are running and you are able to schedule them, then this is nothing to worry about.

thanks for yourconfirmation Jon.

 

My backup is now running fine :) eventhough i get that warning message.
