Backup exec SR Alerts

Hello everyone,

Does backup exec system recovery support secure connections for outgoing smtp? Our company does not allow unsecure connections for mail internally. i have no say in this issue so im a bit stuck.

Im guessing not but will this be available in an update or in a later version?

Backup Exec system recovery at this time does not support secure connections to the SMTP server. You can increase the security of the email being sent by specifying an authentication level (Basic or NTLM), and a user name and password. Anonymous authentication does not require a user name and password.
