Greetings,

BESR 2010 is not supported on ESXi. It is supported on ESX, however.
Please refer to the compatability list: http://support.veritas.com/docs/336534.

Enjoy!

I believe this is incorrect information now.  The PDF that ProductPro pointed shows that it is supported on 3.5i and vsphere 4i and 4i update 1.

You can install the product within your guest OS just fine.  The information given above by ProductPro is misleading.

The hypervisor that your Win2k8 guest OS is irrelevant.

The question comes from, when you take a recover point and convert it to a virtual disk, Symantec is not supporting ESXi.  That does NOT mean it wont work though, as it does.

However, Vmware is moving folks to ESXi, going in favor of a stripped down hypervisor without the dependency of RHEL anymore.  Symantec is slow to adapt here.
