Invalid destination not really invalid

I have been successfully do a file/folder backup for some time.  Today I tried to edit this backup to change the files being backed up and got the following error

"-Error E00063F1: <Unknown result name 'ERR_VALIDATING_DESTINATION'>
--The system cannot find the path specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070003)

(UMI:V-281-0-25585)"

The destination on an external HD was not changed so I don't know why it is not recognized.

Id hoped that the latest Windows 10 update might have made this disappear -- it didn't.  Am I the only one with this problem?

I installed Veritas 16 today and this problem disappeared.  Solved for me anyway.
