Are you restoring using the recovery disk?

If yes, just select 'filename' from the drop-down menu instead of 'system', then you can select the v2i file.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help

Yes from recovery disk i select v2i i restore fisrt system partition 100 Mo with mbr and active disk without reboot and after the other partition C/D/E with only original disk signature with final reboot but can't boot

I will try to do an HP erase and try to clean all with diskpart before and do all the same!

(i can restore with an old sv2I file and an old backup it's ok )

No way to restore from 0   2008R2 without sv2i file if someone can post a kb or can list several step to restore.

i follow this way without any success

1 RAID 1

2 Boot Recovery disk 2011 SP1

3 Diskpart Select  Disk 0 and clean all

4 Restore 100mo partition system with mbr and active disk no reboot

5 Restore C/D/E/F partitions disk signature only, with or without restore anywhere option (backup from same serveur) reboot > No system disk

4/5 Bis  All partition same time by default  try to boot windows but restart

Thank you

I was able to test this and it worked for me by doing the following:

  1. Restore system reservered partition and choose options for Set Drive Active and Restore MBR.
  2. Restore system partition (C) and only choose Restore Original Disk Signature.

This was using SSR 2011 SP2.
