Ridicolous RALUS performance with AIX 5.3

Hi,i experience a tragicomic issue backing up from my 11d-7170sp1 media server  an  AIX 5.3 host, through RALUS 7170 agent. Simply, job rate oscillates between 4.0MB/min and 5.0 MB/min!!!Thanks for your help..Larry
