I have Backup Exec 12.5 running, fully patched, with an agent deployed to a Windows 2008 x64 domain controller. The BE server is also Server 2008 x64. I have a very minimalistic job configured to backup just the system state of a domain controller....
Hmmm well actually now that I double check, the backup size was a lot smaller. The actual log file on SQL is still full size though. Will it not shrink the log file after truncation?
Thanks. I tried turning off AOFO on the SharePoint farm backup job, but the logs still don't get truncated. Is a SharePoint-specific job supposed to truncate logs? I also noticed that other SQL backups I'm doing aren't truncating logs. What gives...
This still happens. Sometimes the bakcup works, sometimes it doesn't. The agent has been updated, the server has been upgraded to 2008 R2. Very frustrating.
