This particular drive was XP SP2 operating system with no other OS partitions, so there should not have been a large disk size issue. The computer is a Dell desktop, probably 5 years old. I don't remember whether it is Pro or Home edition. Bob

Yes, I was able to resolve the issue. The problem was with the size of the drive. I was cloning an 80g HD to a 500g HD. I had to partition the 500g with an 80g partition and clone to that partition. I have done different size HDs in the past, but...
